Part 1: Strangers In The World

Readings: 1 Peter 1:1-12

Series Description

We all are familiar with the brokenness of our world and the brokenness that we see all around us. Such brokenness affects us in many ways, causing us much suffering, pain, and heartache. But in the midst of shifting standards, idolatry, and living in a world that is far from God, how do believers face trials and suffering with hope as they live faithfully maintaining their identity as followers of Jesus especially when others are tempted to put their identity in so many other places? How do believers live in a way where their faith not only transforms them but also the people and the communities that they are a part of? The letter written by Peter, one of Jesus’ closest disciples, gives us practical insight on how to stand firm in the faith while demonstrating Christ’s love and salvation to the rest of the world.
