Baptism Sunday
August 30, 2023
Baptism speaks primarily of a personal, public identification with Jesus Christ. When we enter the waters of baptism, we’re proclaiming the Gospel message: that Jesus died for our sins, that He was buried, rose from the dead, and that He lives again in, through, and around us. By joining in baptism, we’re identifying ourselves with Jesus and with the family of God. Being raised up out of the water is the symbol that expresses our new life in Christ and our union with Him forever.
We were therefore buried with Him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. (Romans 6:4)
If you consider yourself to be a follower of Jesus and would like to take the next step in your faith journey of being baptized, we will be offering baptisms on Sunday, September 24th. If you are interested, please email info@communitycitychurch.org
If you aren’t being baptized, we invite you to come and join us for baptisms and a celebration on Sunday, September 24th, immediately after service. Come celebrate as a church community what God is doing in the lives of people as they take this next step of faith with Jesus. We can’t wait to see you there.
